We’re a relatively new family-owned company with many talents and skills. Our principal employee is David Corbly, who managed most all aspects of library information technology in various roles at major universities for 30 years until retiring young to start Open Door Creations. Other members of the family also work on website creation, graphic design, and marketing.

People have asked: why the name “Open Door Creations?” Is it in the Bible? Nope, but apparently Helen Keller, Alexander Graham Bell, Johann P.F. Richter or Miguel Cervantes said something similar! But actually, I sort of got it from The Sound of Music (one of my favorite movies!) and chose it for my company name when I first thought about leaving the traditional career path and branching out on my own. And it’s been true for me: God has never closed one door without opening another.
